It's 2020! Let's get more tribal.

From my archives and favourite label Made in Nagaland, these are some of my favourite shots from 2019.

As far as I can recall about my life, I've always come back to one thing-
my need to feel free and the need to feel the breeze;
the ride provides a freedom this gypsy needs
where every road is another blessed memory.
A new experience to carry inside my journey.
A sense of belonging to a familiar tribe.
A brotherhood that goes beyond a bloodline.

Lakabiclothing, Lakabi is derived from the local NAGAMESE creole which means "to wear". Beautifully illustrated and designed by artist from Nagaland - a small state in the North Eastern part of India. Lakabi designs are inspired by the exquisite and colourful Naga tribal textiles, patterns and motifs. These intricate and well crafted designs carry a lot of significance in the Naga Tribal Society. It is symbolic; representing the status of wear and imparting power to wearer or users.

Lakabi T shirts are not just another T shirt with a design rather it imparts an opportunity to tell a story and take pride in being a part of a culture and tradition in our daily lifestyle.

Tell your story.
Shout it. Write it.
Whisper it if you have to.
But tell it anyway.
Some won't understand it.
Some will outright reject it.
But many will
thank you for it.
And then the most
magical thing will happen.
One by one, voices will start
whispering, 'Me too.'
And your tribe will gather.
And you will never
feel alone again.

The primitive man has one quality, elaborated and maintained by the very necessities of his hard struggle for life – he identifies his own existence with that of his tribe; and without that quality mankind never would have attained the level as it has attained now.
